I am
delighted to tell you all that on September 2, 2006, I
finished the AKC Championship on my home-bred and
owner-handled CH. Oreos Are Trouble Of Lisark! This
would never have been possible without the help and
support of my friend and mentor BJ McDonald and her
marvelous stud dog NGRCH GRCH 'PR' Precious Jeffrey Of
Phoenix. BJ had the patience of Job and the charity
of an angel to put up with me and help guide me along
the way of raising some wonderful Toy Fox Terriers.
NGRCH GRCH 'PR'Precious
Jeffrey Of Phoenix was bred to his granddaughter BeBe
Dora Of Lisark making him the Foundation dog at Olive
Toy Fox Terriers. Oreo was the only live puppy from the
mating and she became the Foundation Bitch of Olive Toy
Fox Terriers. Oreo is a dual Champion earning her titles
in both the United Kennel Club and the American Kennel
Club and she has produced UKC CHAMPION 'PR'Olive The
Gingerbread Girl known here as Taffy.
The first
Toy Fox Terrier I ever knew was a little farm dog of my
grandfather's who had a pure-bred litter of 5 TFTs. That
was 58 years ago and I was 7 years old. I had so much
fun playing with the puppies that I never forgot them.
We did not
get a family dog until I was ten years old. Rover was a
Rough Coated Collie who was our pal and guardian for
thirteen years. He helped mom and dad raise us and keep
us from harm's way.
After I
married, I raised and showed some Poodles and German
Shepherd Dogs. It wasn't until I was in my 50s that I
bought my first TFT. Her name was Snuggles. She came
from a puppy mill outside of Saint Louis. Snuggles was a
tiny girl and she was very shy, but for us, she was
wonderful. She gave us every blessing a TFT could give
and we all loved her. Snuggles lived to be 19 1/2 years
old.
After
Snuggles died, I bought a granddaughter of BJ's famous
National Grand Champion. Her name is Bebe Dora Of
Lisark. I was showing Bebe and wanted to breed her and
have a litter of puppies. I soon found BJ living just 75
miles north of Pensacola. That was the beginning of not
only a wonderful friendship, but also the opportunity to
finally learn about these precious dogs.
Bebe was
bred to her grandfather and had two puppies. Only Oreo
survived and BJ guided me along every step of her
upbringing. Oreo is my pride and joy and now that she is
an AKC champion, I feel confident that I will be able to
breed and raise wonderful Toy Fox Terriers for my own
enjoyment and the delight of families seeking one of
these grand dogs.
Oreo has
already produced a White and Tan girl named 'PR' Olive
The Gingerbread Girl. We call her Taffy! TAFFY FINISHED
HER UKC CHAMPIONSHIP ON SEPT. 1, 2007.
I
now
have 11 TFTs and a Standard Poodle named Casey
Jones.
I also have a rescue cat named Frankie. All the TFTs
and Frankie sleep in bed with me and Casey guards us
all to makes sure we are safe. I plan to raise
about 5 litters a year and will always be looking for the
best of homes for my precious ones. They are born in my
kitchen and raised inside my home with every care I am
able to provide them. We are now using the techniques of
Cesar Millan, the dog whisperer and the help of Casey
Jones, our standard poodle, in raising our TFT puppies.
If you are interested in owning
one of my puppies, please call or
email me.

Here is a picture of Rhett Butler Of Lisark....he was our great watchdog, guardian angel and most patient TFT pal!!! He put up with us all valiantly and was a wonderful friend and will not be forgotten!
He was not a show dog and had never sired a puppy, but he helped raise the TFT puppies and loved them all.
Rhett is greatly missed!
